Mission Statement

The family and friends of Jamie Cochrane have come together this year to keep Jamie’s memory alive for years to come, by establishing the Jamie Cochrane Memorial Road Race. Proceeds from the road race will be forwarded to a foundation established in memory of Jamie. This foundation will provide scholarships to both Quincy and North Quincy High School students along with providing financial help to charitable organizations and people in need.

Jamie was taken from this world far too early, but during his time here he lived his life helping others. Whether it was consoling the sick or injured or plowing driveways in a snowstorm, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. Jamie was a dedicated police officer that younger officers looked to for guidance and leadership. He was caring, tough, dependable, funny, and extremely loyal. He was the type of guy everyone wanted their sister to marry. Jamie could light a room with his huge smile and he often did. He was a very special person and we all miss him very much.

Because Jamie lived his life helping other people, members of the Jamie Cochrane Committee wish to keep his memory alive through this road race and foundation. We would like to thank everyone for their participation and support.
